I work for Walmart Canada corp. in Ste-Agathe-des-Monts for five years now. It’s a great place to work. I have been The Employee of the Year, once in 2006 at my first year there. I made many friends, and I love my job. Walmart Canada, wants to become a more Durable Company and a leader in Environmental Protection. At my job, the employees (associates), can and must subscribed to their new Green Project: a PDP:(Personal and Durable Project). It’s a new program they have established to keep and preserve the Environment. The employees must come with durable project ideas like recycling, use less electricity, etc… My PDP might be to create a Web log and write articles about Alternative Energies. Why not become aware of the impact on the environment of the things we do in life and on our health. Several years ago, the automobile vehicles were running with fuel containing lead inside. The had discovered one day, that the heavy metals like lead, which came from the exhaust gas of the automobiles, accumulated in the brain and stayed there almost forever. They have found several diseases associate with that. When I was young, I was living in a big city like Montreal, with tons of traffic every days. I found this news very scary at the time. I mean, why not now produce cars who run with water? With no emission at all! I have learned one day, and told, that many invention patents were bought by big companies like General Motors and were lying on the shelf. One told me that a water propelled motor inventor had refused a Billion dollars for his patent because he knew that his invention be kept secret and sleep in their records. All that to say, they are protecting their investments.I remember in the ’80s The catastrophes of Three Miles Island, Chernobyl They had had Nuclear Reactor problems and meltdown. Why not buying Alternative Energies? Why not buying those Green products before it’s too late? I mean, What are we waiting for!
It’s up to us to create our sources of energies. We must not wait after our Governments for those kind of decisions. They are perhaps not smart and or fast enough to take the green turn. Right now we are destroying the Earth, breaking all the Eco-systems of the Earth. We keep polluting all the time, we keep destroying the environment with all kind of projects, like Hydro-Electric dams, Nuclear Reactor Plans. I mean the half-life of Uranium is 10 000 years maybe; if it explodes we will pollute and contaminate our country for thousands of years. Cars and automobile and in addition with all the fossils fuel burning are responsible for the Global warming! Why not burn less fuel? The consumers have no more money also, why not give them access to free electricity and run their car for free also. I hope you have found this article interesting and want to know more.

There are many terms that are often used to describe real estate with environmentally friendly architecture. “Green,” “eco-friendly,” and “sustainable” buildings reduce energy and water use and may improve the quality of life for those who live or work inside it. Architects design green buildings using various design techniques, including natural ventilation, geothermal cooling systems, low-flow toilets, solar chimneys, and reclaimed wood.
The green building industry (a field that most hadn’t heard of only a decade ago) was worth about billion in 2007, according to the U.S. Green Building Council. Although sustainable construction is one of the fastest-growing areas of commercial building, a small number of new buildings are green. Buildings that do meet these standards can save money on energy costs, which is a benefit that may become more attractive as energy costs continue to rise.

In the first four parts of this series of investing in small cap stocks, you learned buying and selling strategies. Now once you carefully research and identify an industry or sector that you are convinced will grow exponentially over the next one to five years, how do you identify the best companies? In this bonus tips article, I’ll discuss how subscribing to the “a rising tide lifts all boats” theory can severely hinder your stock performance.
As of the writing of this article, spring 2006, many sectors look very promising. Precious metals, technology, nanotechnology, renewable/ alternative energy, and so on. But thinking that you can just buy any companies in high-growth sectors without doing considerable research can be disastrous. So here are three tips to help you out in this process.

Who designed the first flyover? When and where was it built?
Holborn Viaduct was the world’s first flyover, connecting Holborn with Newgate Street, avoiding a deep dip in the road. It was built across the Fleet Valley to get rid of the steep Holborn and Snow Hills. It was built between 1863 and 1869 and opened by Queen Victoria in 1869. Nearby is the City Thameslink station, a replacement for the former Holborn Terminus of the London, Chatham & Dover Railway It cost over two million pound sterling to complete and was opened by Queen Victoria.

We must try to go green at our homes. This is because at our homes we get complete liberty to do whatever we want to. Sitting in our homes, we can destroy or develop the environment. Here are some tips which can prove to be helpful in going green at home:-
1. One can install a thermostat which can be programmed and thus can help in saving a lot of energy every year.
2. Heating our homes at 68 degrees and cool them at 72 degrees later on. But at night time reduce both of them. This step would help in saving almost 6% energy for every 2 degree reduction.
3. When upgrading appliances and electronics, one must look at the certification of energy star. More stars the appliance and electronic item has more energy would it help to save.
4. It is even known that CRT’s are less efficient in saving energy as compared to flat screen monitors or laptops.
5. Cracks in one’s house should be properly sealed with the help of caulk and expanding foam. Such cracks can be seen at pipers and wires which come through doors, windows, etc.
6. Weather-strip should be used for doors and windows.
7. Water heater should be wrapped up with an insulation blanket.
8. Moreover, water heaters should even be upgraded. Either a tank less model should be chosen or a solar water heater. If one is not in the favour of choosing any of the above option, it is simple. One should look at the energy star option which can at least be helpful in saving some more energy.
9. Hot water pipes should even be wrapped up with pre-fitted insulating tubes which should even be pre-foamed.
10. Refrigerator coils should be vacuumed which can help in improving efficiency.
11. One’s freezer should be kept full for best optimum power usage.
12. Microwave tends to use a lot of energy, so its usage should be keep to a really minimum level. It is suggested that stoves and ovens should be brought into use more often.
13. A small 5 minutes shower can even clean one’s body completely. Therefore save water and bath smartly.
14. While washing dishes or shaving or even while brushing, the free flow of taps should be prevented.
15. Dishwashers should be brought into use and the cleaning of dishes by hand should be kept to the basics only. This step actually saves a lot of water.
16. On one’s faucets, aerators should be installed which even can save water.
17. Traditional toilets should be replaced by new models which are low-flow ones.
18. In our homes, energy audit should be performed.
19. When given an option one should opt for reusable bags instead of using paper or plastic.
20. One must recycling their computer equipments and electronics.
21. Clothes requiring dry cleaning should be used only when it is very necessary.
22. Green cleaning methods should be used. Many cleaning green alternatives should be used which help in cleaning almost every household item.
