Question by : Why didn’t Obama send more money to Solyndra to save it from bankruptcy?
I think Solyndra is an excellent model for government investment in green technology. I think it’s Bush’s fault that it went bankrupt because he didn’t give them a loan. It’s too bad the Republicans blocked Obama’s attempts for more funding so that Solyndra would still be in business today. We could’ve sent $ 1 billion instead of $ 535 million and there would be millions of green jobs created. I know what I’m talking about because I watch MSNBC.

But opposes expanding oil production in the gulf of Mexico? Are alternative fuel sources best?
“A large portion of the $800 million we spend on foreign oil every day goes to some of the world’s most volatile regimes. And there are the environmental consequences. Just about every scientist outside the White House believes climate change is real.

We cannot drill our way out of the problem. Instead of subsidizing the oil industry, we should end every single tax break the industry currently receives and demand that 1% of the revenues from oil companies with over $1 billion in quarterly profits go toward financing alternative energy research and infrastructure.

You don’t know anything yet. Read on all of this as it all comes together in
the last part … a must read!

So. . . now we know, but now what does anyone do about it?

This is an interesting story put together from various articles and TV
shows by the British Times paper. It shows what Obama and his friends
are really all about. It’s not hope and change, it is money.

I warn you, the first part is a little boring, but stick with it. The
second part connects all the dots for you (it will open your eyes). The
end explains how Obama and all his cronies will end up as
multi-billionaires. (It’s definitely worth the read. You will not be
disappointed).

Obama says hes going to lower taxes for 95% of Americans. Spend 15 billion dollars on alternative energy investments. develop eco-friendly vehicles. Invest in early childhood education and raise our teachers salaries. Pay for everyones college tuition. Give the military better tools and raise the military benefits to what they used to be, and create a cheep universal health care system that would cost the government millions. Is it just me or do these numbers not add up. As great as all this “change” would be, is it really possible. I mean, all this talk is coming from the guy who has written two memoirs but has not been the main author of a single piece of legislature. As a senator he has more time to propose and write laws, and he cant make change happen with the power he has now. As president he can propose laws but is also busy balancing a budget, dealing with foreign affairs, making sure the laws are followed, and alot of other presidential affairs. How can we expect him to bring change when he cant bring change as a senator? and on top of that, how does he plan on paying for this change while still lowering the taxes?

It’s pretty long…but substantial. Please take the time to read all of it.

Energy:

In an effort to force our nation to increase its reliance on alternative or renewable energy sources, it has been thought of to increase the taxes on fossil fuels. However, this will help rise the tax price which will trickle down and be passed to the customer.
Obama wants to increase taxes of fossil fuels.
McCain is opposed.
62% of Americans are opposed.
35% support.

Some people want to begin drilling in ANWR. What isn’t well known is that the drilling would only cover 2,000 acres of 19 million. This would provide energy while we work on new ways that will eventually replace oil.
Obama says no to drilling.
McCain says yes.
55% of Americans say yes to drilling.
35% say no to drilling.

Colin Powell is a “strategic limited partner” in Al Gore’s company. Both men will make millions of dollars off of Cap and Trade. This is just too much of a coincidence. Follow the money……….

“The move is more than another Colin Powell moment (the former Secretary of State signed on as a Kleiner “strategic limited partner” two years ago and has hardly been heard from since). Gore is joining the firm as Kleiner makes a risky move beyond information technology and health-care investing into the fast-growing and increasingly competitive arena of “clean technology.”

According to Doerr, by 2009 more than a third of Kleiner’s latest fund, which was raised in 2006 and totals $600 million, will be invested in technologies that aim to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide. Already Kleiner has invested more than $270 million from various funds in 26 companies that make everything from microbes that scrub old oil wells to electric cars to noncorn ethanol. Twelve of Kleiner’s 22 partners now spend some or all of their time on green investments.
